The placenta is an amazing organ that was created along with your baby to nurture your baby throughout pregnancy. It contains many hormones, stem cells, iron, protein and is rich in vitamin B6. It was made specifically alongside your baby, and the benefits of this organ do not have to cease once your baby is born.

Many women believe* consuming their placenta has helped with:
- Reducing the chance of developing Post-Natal Depression
- Weight loss
- Increasing energy levels
- Replacing Iron 
- Reducing the length of postpartum bleeding
- Overall feeling of well-being
- Levelling out hormones avoiding mood swings

Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta Encapsulation is a palatable, discreet way to consume your placenta so that you and your baby can continue to benefit from its goodness for weeks or even years after your baby's birth.
Encapsulation involves slowly dehydrating your placenta until it is dry enough to be ground into a powder. It is then placed inside capsules to form a vitamin-like capsule. Each placenta is different so the quantity of capsules varies. I have found a rough estimate is between 150-220 capsules per placenta.

Basic Placenta Encapsulation Package - $300*
This includes:
-Placenta Encapsulaion using the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Method.
-Local pick-up of placenta and delivery of product (extra fees may be charged)
Complimentary Gifts:
-Digital Placenta Photo with special filter to have as a keepsake.
-Umbilical keepsake (the umbilical cord dried in a heart or spiral shape).



Deluxe Encapsulation Package -  $370*
This includes:
-The above basic package PLUS...
-Placenta Tincture - This is a homeopathic type remedy that is great for your baby at times of change. This will last your childs lifetime as I provide the "mother" tincture that you can always make more from. Please allow at least 6 weeks for delivery of your tincture.
-Placenta Salve - Lovely balm that can be used on nappy rash, cracked nipples, c-section wounds, eczema and other skin conditions.   

*Extra pick-up and delivery fees may apply. Pick-up and deliveries will occur during business hours unless otherwise convenient for Birthing Love. A $30 late booking fee will apply for bookings made less than a week in advance.
Pick Up and Delivery Fees:
Goulburn, Nowra, Wollongong & Campbelltown - $60 pick-up & delivery  or   $40 pick-up with Express Postage return.
Liverpool $70 pick-up & delivery   or   $45 pick-up with Express Postage return.

To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of $80 is required and the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your EDD or at the time of collecting your placenta, whichever is first.

    Terms and conditions: I understand that Birthing Love is providing a “service”, not a product. (The service is “processing your placenta, into pill form for consumption by yourself at your own risk.) I also understand that the practice of placental encapsulation is not TGA approved. I understand that this process is performed using only disinfected, sanitised and disposable (if possible) equipment and while wearing food grade gloves at all times. Birthing Love only use vegetable capsules which are suitable for vegans. It is my responsibility to make sure the placenta is not disposed of and Birthing Love strongly advises that I place this request in my birth plan and remind my care providers.  While every effort is made to process the placenta, I understand that on rare occasions there may be an issue with the placenta that prevents it from being processed. If this occurs, I understand that the placenta will be returned to me to be disposed of as per the hospital release form conditions. 50% of the package fee will be refunded if the placenta is unable to be processed, The pick-up and delivery fee will still apply in order to cover petrol costs and time incurred. I will still receive a placenta print if the placenta allows for this to be possible. Extra pick up and delivery costs may apply. Pick-ups and deliveries will only be made during business hours unless otherwise convenient for Birthing Love. Please ensure your placenta is properly stored below 4 degrees celsius until pick up.
